دلیل دوم:

اگر سامسونگ سعی کند جریمه‌اش را با سکه‌های ۵ سِنتی پرداخت کند، اپل خیلیراحت و به طور قانونی می‌تواند به راننده‌های کامیون‌ها بگوید که دور بزنندو برگردند به مقر سامسونگ یا هر جای دیگری که از آن آمده‌اند. چرا؟

زیرااگر چه طبق قانون امریکا امکان پرداخت بدهی‌ها با تمام سکه‌ها و اسکناس‌هایرایج امکان‌پذیر است، ولی الزام در پذیرش این‌گونه پرداخت‌هایی فقط شاملحال برخی از ادارات دولتی می‌شود؛ سایر ادارت و البته کمپانی‌های خصوصی هیچاجباری در دریافت اینچنینی طلب خود ندارند و اکثر کمپانی‌ها هم فقط و فقطچک دریافت می‌کنند و نه پول نقد.

یک محاسبه سر انگشتی به ما نشان می‌دهد که اصل ادعای مطرح شده در این خبردروغین ناشیانه است، زیرا هر پنج سنتی ۵ گرم وزن دارد. بنابراین با در نظرگرفتن محدودیت ۳۶ تُن حمل بار برای هر کامیون، ۲۷۵۵ کامیون ۱۸ چرخ بایدبرای انتقال این تعداد سکه ۵ سِنتی به کار گرفته شود. حالا می‌توان یک دلسیر به عدد مورد ادعا خندید: فقط ۳۰ کامیون؟!

دلیل چهارم:

۱ میلیارد دلار امریکا، معادل ۲۰ میلیارد سکه ۵ سنتی است که وزن مجموع آنها۱۰۰ هزار تُن خواهد شد. چه لزومی دارد که سامسونگ حتماً بخواهد با ۵ سنتیجریمه‌اش را بپردازد؟ آیا نمی‌شد برای به زحمت انداختن یا تحقیر کردن اپل،از بسته‌های ۱ دلاری یا ۱۰ دلاری استفاده کرد؟

دلیل پنجم:

به احتمال زیاد اصلاً این تعداد سکه ۵ سنتی در اقتصاد امریکا در گردش نیست.در سال ۲۰۰۶ نیویورک تایمز گزارش کرد که تعداد ۲۰ میلیارد سکه نیکِلی (جنس۵ سنتی از نیکل است) همچنان دست به دست می‌شود؛ قیمت رو به رشد فلزات یکدلیل خوب شده بود برای اینکه مردم سکه‌ها را آب کنند، چون ۹۵٪ از وزنسکه‌ها نیکل بود. الآن که ۶ سال از آن تاریخ گذشته، چه کسی می‌تواند ۲۰میلیارد سکه ۵ سِنتی پیدا کند؟

That’s right. The fun fact you may have been parading around the office this morning is a hoax, purported by a site very similar to The Onion.

The site where the reports originated is called El Deforma and it’s a satirical news site based in Mexico.

Fake or real? Samsung sends $1 billion in 5 cents coins to Apple Headquarters

In what could be a hilarious twist to the Apple vs Samsung drama, the Korean company has allegedly sent $1 billion in the form of 5 cents coins in 30 trucks!

Though the thought of Samsung going ahead and doing this sounds quite awesome I would like to call BS as it is still too early for Samsung to pay up. Also, the line on Samsung CEO calling Apple CEO and informing him about this sounds a little far fetched. However here’s the original post just for laughs sake.

This morning more than 30 trucks filled with 5-cent coins arrived at Apple’s headquarters in California. Initially, the security company that protects the facility said the trucks were in the wrong place, but minutes later, Tim Cook (Apple CEO) received a call from Samsung CEO explaining that they will pay $1 billion dollars for the fine recently ruled against the South Korean company in this way.

The funny part is that the signed document does not specify a single payment method, so Samsung is entitled to send the creators of the iPhone their billion dollars in the way they deem best.

This dirty but genius geek troll play is a new headache to Apple executives as they will need to put in long hours counting all that money, to check if it is all there and to try to deposit it crossing fingers to hope a bank will accept all the coins.
